![]() | Nikon Z9 Pros: Everything, but in particular autofocus and customization management. Cons: Inconvenient card counter, cost, despite being in line or even lower than competitors. Opinion: I bought it at the end of August. I do not like superlatives and I do not know other systems but I believe that more than this is impossible to have today. I come from Z7 and D500 in pair, which were more than good for different needs. With the Z9 you solve all problems: the autofocus is always lightning fast: tried both with native lenses and with adapter. It needs a little practice because the options are so many and if you do not choose the one that suits the situation it can "disappoint" in certain situations. Dynamic range, my opinion by eye, a little less wide than the Z7, but always excellent. With native lenses the performance goes up as the price of the same, which is really challenging. After all, I always say, if you have the opportunity to spend why not do it for your hobby? Of course, the time when mirrorless people were bought to save weight is over, at least in this range. Nikon, however, is churning out very high level lenses at weights unthinkable until recently: with the 400 f / 4.5 shots all day freehand without problems. I do not agree with those who say that Jpegs are perfect, files should always be worked unless one puts only photos on social media. I recently did an exhibition of two projects, one in color and the other in bn and I sweated a lot to get the result I wanted. For me it's a 9.5 sent on February 07, 2023 |
![]() | Zeiss ZE/ZF.2 Distagon T* 21mm f/2.8 Pros: Colors, smooth and soft dial, minimum focus distance, performance price ratio if taken used Cons: Full-opening vignette Opinion: Taken at a ridiculous price - compared to the average - and mounted on the Nikon D750 gives huge satisfactions. The colors are fantastic, especially they maintain natural brightness and do not knead. The manual focus is not a problem because it is used almost exclusively for landscapes from f8 to f11 it focuses smoothly with a wide-angle focal. Fluid, lustful, precise. The vignette is there at TA but it is irrelevant, when it bothers you will rise with a click with any post-production program. Don't miss, if you find one. sent on February 25, 2020 |
![]() | Nikon AF 180mm f/2.8 D ED IF Pros: Weight, old style quality Cons: A bit of Ac that are easily eliminated in post, lack of stabilizer (for those, like me, did not have a very solid hand) Opinion: There's not much to say, it's the lens that gives me more satisfaction than I have. I was given taken used and is in excellent condition. The value for money is staggering, as they are found to be excellent for 300 euros. It is sharp already at 2.8 and closing just a little gives fantastic images for contrast, colors and blurred beautiful and not at all invasive. In problematic light condies the autofocus suffers a minimum, it is true, but nothing dramatic. On the D750 it is balanced and forms a must-have pairing for nikonists. Vote 9.8 because perfection doesn't exist. sent on June 28, 2019 |
![]() | Sigma 12-24mm f/4.5-5.6 II DG HSM Pros: A good looking lens with a great price performance ratio. Returns beautiful colors. Agile and handy. Cons: Important flare, controllable distortion with some difficulty. Scratched lens for obvious reasons and very expensive filters. Opinion: For me, it is, in general, a great buy for a photographer doing a hobby. Used is affordable, feeling solid and spending your money well. The 12 mm on FF open new horizons from a creative point of view as well. It does best between f8 and f13. I take it with great satisfaction on D750.rnAfter me is a 9 sent on October 09, 2017 |
