![]() | Canon RF 35mm f/1.4 L VCM Pros: Sharpness, lightweight Cons: Distortion and vignetting but above all unjustified price Opinion: Fresh from marriage I finally tested the new 35mm. The lens is lightweight and comfortable to use. Impeccable sharpness. In the camera and on lightroom with the corrections activated everything looks perfect and in practical use it is. But when you go to look at what's under the carpet by removing the software corrections, you discover the dirt: exaggerated distortion and vignetting, even if not at full opening. I repeat, in practical use it is a good lens, but such rubbish is not acceptable on a lens sold for almost 2000 euros. The problem isn't vignetting and distortion, which is probably a trade-off to accept for a compact, lightweight lens. The problem is the price, they are selling you a software fix. sent on October 20, 2024 |
![]() | Canon RF 15-35mm f/2.8 L IS USM Pros: Sharpness, focal length up to 15 mm, distortion Cons: Worst flare ever, price Opinion: Very mixed opinions for this lens. It would seem to be a perfect lens: 15mm, impeccable sharpness, minimal distortion... It would be worth every euro if it weren't for an unfortunately not negligible flaw: flare resistance. With this lens it is impossible to take pictures against the light. I come from an EF 16-35mm f/4 (which is half the price) and I've never had a problem pointing it at a light source. I'm pretty disappointed. To learn more about the flare problem of the RF 15-35mm F/2.8 I refer to this in-depth discussion: https://www.juzaphoto.com/topic2.php?l=it&t=4483419&show=1 sent on March 21, 2024 |
![]() | Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8 L IS USM Pros: Optical quality, speed, sharpness, bokeh, stabilization Cons: Weight, price Opinion: Almost perfect lens. Perfection is only a handful of grams and millimeters less. The EF model is in fact a little lighter and more compact (RF gains the stabilizer). Unquestionably excellent optical quality. Chromatic aberrations never seen and flare contained. I point out a very small gap between zoom in and zoom out. sent on March 08, 2023 |
![]() | Canon EOS R6 Pros: High ISO seal, price, weight, autofocus Cons: Resolution, no quick controls for AF type, menu "Q" not touch screen, lack of screen with shooting settings, viewfinder Opinion: I come from a Canon 5D Mark IV and after several months of use I must say that I still lack the quick commands for the AI switch servo / one shot and burst. In addition, the convenient "Q" menu where you had everything at hand you can only see but not "click" to change the various parameters. These shortcomings sometimes make it less fast to use the camera. The yield at high ISO is very good but the resolution is really at the limit of decent, even just a couple of megapixels more would have been enough. sent on April 10, 2022 |
![]() | GoPro Hero7 Black Pros: Audio Video Quality, stabilization Cons: Interface, software, app, docking system, touch screen Opinion: Great video Quality, excellent stabilization. But Everything else is worthwhile. Touch screen little precise, software interface unintuitive, cage for hooking system hard and uncomfortable to open, system of hooking head strap impractical and little balance (with little you risk to move the frame). Overall I am quite disappointed given the price. Today even mobile phones are able to make great video footage. An Action Cam makes sense if it is practical in its functions of use, and the GO PRO in my opinion does not excels at all. sent on April 05, 2019 |
![]() | Manfrotto BeFree Carbon Pros: Compact Size and Weight Cons: Head and plate little welded in case of vertical shooting, no hook for the ballast Opinion: Excellent Travel Tripod, lightweight and no less important compact, with some flaws and limitations. The Head is not the best for vertical shooting but it is equipped with end groove that better blocks the machine. The plate must be tightened a lot otherwise it slips. Missing the hook to ballast the tripod and it's a real shame! sent on March 23, 2019 |
![]() | Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Pros: Lightweight, good build quality, AF sound signature, sharpness Cons: Sharpen the edges wide open very poor Opinion: At full aperture, the edges, the lens is very poor; 2.8 we are at the limit; But when you consider that the sides generally is out of focus the problem is masked. At f / 8 sharpness it is impeccable down to the last centimeter of the edge. Focus fairly quiet. Excellent value for money!!! sent on September 09, 2015 |
