![]() | Canon EF 400mm f/5.6 L USM Pros: Not heavy, fast, crisp, cheap, solid colors, easy to use freehand Cons: A little unbalanced, minimum distance of focus, no stabilizer Opinion: Rented extraordinarily by rce (from my experience they will probably start the rental and thank them for the trust) I must say that it is a good goal. But you have to understand how where it is with what you use it. Let me explain : arrived yesterday out of curiosity to try it I went immediately to the motorcycle circuit near home... 15 minutes, gloomy sky, on 5dmk3 made me get butterflies in my stomach. Out of 100 freehand shots 14 "wrong" photos (out of focus) but because it was my fault because it went to god at some point I thought I would use it on the fly as if I had my usual 70-200 f4 is. All the other perfect shots! Today, however, I took the field mounting it on 7dmk1... immediately I realized it wasn't the same song as yesterday. At the end of the day on 700 shots on monopod in full only 250 thrown because of me and for, in my word, : on apsc the focal is not 400mm and therefore it is more difficult to be stationary under 1/500 s, the 7dmk1 is a hair slower than the 5dmk3 in continuous fire. Tomorrow and Sunday changing some settings I will try to see if on 7dmk1 I can turn it as on 5dmk3 otherwise I will still buy it but I will use it on 5dmk3 if I have to "run". Anyway I will update the review and my experience to help if it should serve someone. After 3 days of intense use I can confirm that its performance is optimal on FF ... meso on apsc. In fact used on the 7dmk1 stumbles in a "slowness" when the focus lags are little contrasted (I refer only in tracking and not static photos), I improved a little reducing the speed of the chase af from the car but still remains a hair less performing than on FF. In the end I decided to take it, I'm happy and I think it will give me so much satisfaction! sent on June 19, 2020 |
![]() | Canon EF 24-105mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM Pros: (today 27-02-2020 is located at 319euro online), stabilizer, yield Cons: "bright" but depends on what it is used and if it is needed, lampshade not included, plastics lower than the L series but depends on how it is treated Opinion: bought used at RCE at 300 euros with 2 years warranty I did not find impressive differences with the big brother L series indeed.... it is a lens "very constant in performance and yield even at the edge of the photo. both wide-angle and with canvases from 3.5 to 5.6 the sharpness is not amazing but it is VERY constant, imperceptible differences. It does give the best of itself to f8 objectively, and to f16 begins to "fall" but always maintaining the abundant sufficiency. If you need a great everything do, light, cheap, precise is a lens that I would buy back without problems. Of course if you need tropicalization brightness and an extra point of professionalism then better the L series but after 18 years of profession and various 24-105 L tried I can say with certainty that no mortal can recognize the differences, and my emotions looking at the shots are similar. sent on February 27, 2020 |
![]() | Yongnuo YN-568EX II (Canon) Pros: Well... Cheap definitely... for my experience (I use them for more than six years) I have 4 and only one "burned" me , but I was a photographer in the tourist village, he did 700 or more flashes a day in hs and not and was not always under the sun so after 4 months to the whip maybe normal, also because I did not know that in these conditions had to cover the display! when used in manual it needs very low powers and you also make 400 shots with a set of batteries. in ttl maybe 1/3 stop above normal exposure but it blancia.menu easy and fast (if you study it) Cons: definitely the plastics are not those canons but considering that it costs 5 times less... Opinion: I also highly recommend this because some models even have 2 types of built-in triggers! a good means for those who are not fans of the brand and mistreat the equipment a bit. compared with the original canon is absolutely not in deficit although a lower hair perhaps. versatile flexible and more intuitive than canons, perfectly in sync with the 7d with which I used it. sent on January 28, 2020 |
