Si devono inoltre all'architetto messinese Filippo Juvarra la cappella di Sant'Uberto e l'originale e ingegnoso progetto della Citroniera con l'adiacente Grande Scuderia, riunite in un unico corpo la cui facciata funge da fondale aulico all'allea del "Giardino a Fiori". I lavori per la duplice fabbrica della Scuderia e Citroniera vengono iniziati nel 1720 e si protraggono fino al 1729; alla realizzazione degli apparati decorativi a stucco di entrambi gli ambienti collaborano diversi artisti di origine luganese. Il nome deriva dal fatto che serviva come ambiente "caldo" per le piante che dovevano superare i rigori invernali, in particolari gli agrumi e i limoni che ricevevano molti raggi solari grazie alle ampie vetrate esposte naturalmente a sud creando un magnifico effetto serra.
