When it rains, it rains ... in Val d'Orcia sent on June 06, 2014 (22:57) by Massimo Bonini. 22 comments, 1729 views. [retina]

, 1/30 f/16.0, ISO 400, hand held. Val d'Orcia, Italy.

Hello Stephen! This time, no boldness, I was away, photo taken from the walls of Pienza, just lucky to have him caught with fast times.

Bravissimo, one click really interesting!
I really like the composition, especially the inclusion of the road at the bottom and the top portion of the dark sky.
In fact, take time with around 1/30 is the only way to capture lightning during the day, as with long exposures, often is not imprinted; even if you can not take all the ramifications.
Ok, sorry:-D, maybe you could be of interest :-)
Congratulations, great shot!

Thanks Lorenzo, the passage and glad you liked it! I did not know that the long esp in broad daylight are not good for lightning, having no tripod with me at that moment I have not mounted a nd to lengthen the time at this point to luck:-D

luck would have it, were not under the lightning
:-D:-D I was at a safe distance, a few miles:-D
Keep in mind, joking aside, that what you see at the bottom was a real boat of water, which fortunately did not last long. While I shot it started to drizzle over Pienza even then we took the car and went in the direction of the storm, there were still a S.Quirico rivulets of land in the country left by the amount 'of water fall that has literally cleaned up air runs into the village to form small streams in the streets slope.
thanks again

Thanks again Claudio, here went of luck even if I saw them and tried them in another (Sardinia) I went specifically to look at the beach before dawn saw the storm on top of me, but with a long time is definitely more ' easy ... although when you're under and beside them a little escapes you:-D:-D
