at 28mm, 1/50 f/11.0, ISO 100, tripod.

Hello burt! The colors of the photos and the management of the lights is good mto! The merger came as well, you can see on the trunk in the foreground, on the cliff on the left and in the line of the horizon. The composition can be improved, so central to the trunk does not bind with other elements, it would be better to place it on a third!

Greetings

From the compositional point of view, the trunk seems a bit 'too central, then took it straight to straight lose depth to shoot, personalemtne I would put it sideways, or taken in another angle of 3/4, the rocks instead bele break the monotony.
They are then puzzled ... that is working on the trunk and rocks, especially when viewed in HD, seem to be the result of an extreme attempt to recover the shadows, the noise is excessive in these cases or do un'atra exposure to the trunk or in general, the shadowed parts, which can then melt, and adjust at will or not lighten the shadows so much, that after all consider to backlight the darker the trondo and rocks there is as well.

Composition: good guys thanks the comments!
A part of the discourse of composition that I liked at that time as well :-), actually working and lacking :-( I ask you how you can enhance the blend, I'll explain, I used gimp 2.8 put 2 images on two levels, in one I created a layer mask after which I deleted with the eraser tool to get that sky .... I tried different settings brush is softer but less soft contour (up to 100 per cent) is not easy thing for me at least you as do you do?

I am also perplexed by the process ... that is the trunk and rocks, especially when viewed in HD, seem to be the result of an extreme attempt to recover the shadows, the noise is excessive in these cases or do un'atra exposure for the trunk or in general the shadows, then you can merge, and adjust at will or not lighten the shadows so much, that after all consider to backlight the darker the trondo and rocks there is as well.

A third step for the trunk I thought about it at home once they open the photos, and the recovery on the trunk and was more destructive than improvement, the noise you do not think that is due from the shots of my old d80 combined with a long exposure ?
