at 500mm, 1/2000 f/6.3, ISO 500, hand held. Oasi WWF Lago Pantano di Pignola, Italy. Specie: Milvus milvus

Ogni tanto posto anch'io animali in cattività.

I am stepping stone to compliment the complaint to matters related to hunter / prey.
As for the technical aspect, the eye is in shadow and penalizes the portrait; having the full availability of the subject, perhaps it was a mistake that could have been avoided. Clonerei from the background darker parts blurry and not to mix it all better.

I clicked the like only for action and not for the photo ......... Francis .... and you did well because this picture I posted not to be admired but to be meditated.
Dear Angelino, thanks for the good advice that I shall apply in portraits (if I can get them) during the stalking.
I have other shots where the animal is perfect, but here are best seen from the wounds and that was what I wanted to highlight, do not receive compliments for the photo ....... otherwise I would be equal to those zoo photographer. ;-)
Thanks to you too Jerry and Gianluca for sensitivity.

Well excuse but what enters the compliments, I did a technical note ... that just commenting on an error in a controlled environment you should not do as time and opportunity there, if instead of looking to the right he looked to the left, the eye remained illuminated and the portion / framed body position was the same. Sometimes it's just a matter of moments, perhaps after a few seconds he turned ;-)
The issue for me is that the technical aspect and the basic rules of lighting are cared for always and regardless of who you are photographing a cat or a lion ;-)

Angelino, I answer you once again but it is not my intention to argue.
If we put the technical point of view (surely as you will have noticed ;-)) the picture still has other pitfalls noise on the plumage of the kite, etc. components. and I thank you that you have not highlighted.
Do not think though that I do not know that an enlightened eye is more beautiful than one without light, even not being a good photographer, I'm not so naive. So as I said, I simply gave priority to the "moment caught" showing his wounds.
You'd do what you would not have posted the photos because technically imperfect?
I know it is imperfect but nonetheless I thought it important to post it, I like asking for what he represents ...... as did Francis and others.

Regards Vincenzo

Thanks Dino, I realized my friend ...... and yet it often happens that no one thinks and gives more importance to the ephemeral.

Before a controversy arises that seriously:-D, I do not think anything at all and do not judge you at all ;-) I made a precise and educated technical comments on a (to me) error in this photo ;-) ;-)

You'd do what you would not have posted the photos because technically imperfect?

I opened a topic in the blog, as did his friend Henry Paris when he and Hilary found the buzzard wound in the woods. If placed in section birds is obvious that you do the technical comments.
With qT his close ;-)

Angelino you're absolutely right about the topic, however, also have an explanation for this.
This topic may intervene dogs and pigs (excuse the language) and I (at least in this case where I want to raise awareness) can not stand to talk to annoying people. Here I can ban.
In summary you made me catch the error, I have given you reason and I have added more but I explained that the photo good for anything else.
I think it is all right and indeed our discussions will clarify the mode of action for those who want technically possibly comment the picture in the future.

This is nothing compared to everything that is shot down in September and October!!
Many of the specimens that were photographed and posted to this site and whose photos occupy the highest places of popularity risk not fly anymore because slaughtered and left to rot in the open air!!

Unfortunately dear Domenik, unfortunately ......
Best wishes Vincenzo
