A volte, mi chiedo se i nostri sforzi per far rimanere tutto così com'è e per non interferire in alcun modo con la natura non vadano in realtà contro il naturale cambiamento dato dall'incontro con la diversità. È una riflessione, una domanda che mi pongo, non voglio chiaramente dire che ritengo bello e giusto quello che descrivi. Mi tocca e mi colpisce l'immagine dei primati che imparano ad allungare le mani per chiedere cibo: noi, dal nostro punto di vista antropocentrico, lo valutiamo e lo descriviamo come tu hai fatto, ma dal punto di vista "neutro" della natura quello in realtà è solo un apprendimento che favorisce un adattamento; è ciò che sta alla base dell'evoluzione.
Magari, questi primati fra 500k anni verranno studiati come i progenitori della nuova specie dominante che in quell'epoca si riterrà l'apice dell'evoluzione e che chiaramente avrà soppiantato noi
