Um... If I may say so, I would have accentuated the whites of those fir trees here.
However, it remains a valid and elegant landscape image.
However, I think those trees chose the most drastic way to stand out from the crowd. :-(

Rather than stand out, become extinct :-D
When I saw these larches I said to myself that in post I will have to give them "body" as at that moment there was little contrast since it was raining.
I have three versions of this photo, the base, the bis and the ter which are gradually with more accentuated larches. In the end I chose the second one as it was the most "balanced". The third would have distorted reality too much.
Thanks anyway Simone for expressing your point of view, always appreciated.
Best regards.

Great for me: just enough to "stand out"! ;-)

Thank you Alberto!
Me, you and Simone have quite similar tastes and when shooting I already imagined that you would have "passed" for a comment :-P
Best regards.

I share Simone's opinion, even if I understand that some shots for light, setting, colors can suffer the post and not be able to express the author's intentions.
... It's a period that I often struggle in post to get who knows what contrasts and I realize only after some time that I have overplayed my hand ...

It's absolutely as you say, Simone!
The initial idea was precisely to "highlight" or at least enhance the small group of larches in the dense forest. As I wrote to Simone, I have three versions and the last one I worked on is too contrasted and the scene seems distorted. In the end, it seemed to me the most reasonable choice.
Thank you for sharing your opinion, I'm very pleased!
Best regards.
