NGC2359 è una nebulosa ad emissione con declinazione -13°, comunemente conosciuta come Elmo di Thor. Si pensa che la nebulosa sia "illuminata" dalla stella più luminosa visibile in quella che somiglia a una calotta di un elmo. Ho acquisito diverse ore in banda stretta con un CMOS raffreddato al fuoco di un C9.25HD @ f/7 negli ultimi giorni del 2023. Nel dettaglio sono 5½ ore con filtro Ha, 5½ ore in O3, 3 ore in S2, dal mio giardino di casa in pianura trevigiana. Sempre affascinante l'Universo.
