"Costruisco Pipe qui nell'altopiano delle Serre Calabresi dal 1965. Ad insegnarmi fu mio padre. Vedi, oggi sto lavorando le eriche estratte in queste terre che misi a bollire nell'anno 2000. Non avrebbe logica per me lavorare legni che non abbiano subito almeno vent'anni di invecchiamento. Posso sbozzare una pipa anche in meno di una giornata. Ma è quello che si è fatto negli anni precedenti che determina il risultato. Molti vengono da me sostenendo che siano le migliori che abbiano provato. Io mi sento solo un modesto artigiano.
