La Rocca: la domus de janas di Sedini La Domus de Janas di Sedini, conosciuta anche con il nome di “La Rocca”, è un sito archeologico unico nel suo genere. Si trova nell'Anglona, nel nord della Sardegna. La Rocca è una delle Domus de Janas più affascinanti della Sardegna. Si trova a Sedini, nella regione storica dell'Anglona, a pochi chilometri dalla bellissima Castelsardo. A renderla interessante è la sua lunghissima storia, ed infatti nel corso dei secoli è stata utilizzata a vari scopi. La Domus de Janas “La Rocca” ospita anche il Museo delle Tradizioni Etnografiche dell'Anglona, ed ogni anno viene visitata dal moltissimi turisti Domus de Janas La Rocca a Sedini “La Rocca” di Sedini è una Domus de Janas unica nel suo genere che ogni anno viene visitata da migliaia di turisti. Il masso all'interno del quale è stata scavata è alto ben 12 metri, ed il suo primo utilizzo risale al periodo compreso tra il IV ed il III millennio a.C.. La cosa più straordinaria dal punto di vista storico è senza dubbio la continuità di utilizzo della domus che si estende nell'arco di 5000 anni. A renderla famosa sono le sue molte particolarità che l'hanno resa veramente unica: si trova nella via principale del paese, all'interno del centro storico di Sedini (nella maggior parte dei casi troviamo le domus de janas in luoghi sperduti o difficilmente raggiungibili); è stata realizzata scavando un enorme masso e si pensa che sia la Domus de Janas più grande dell'isola (per questo è soprannominata la “cattedrale” delle Domus de Janas della Sardegna); nei secoli ha subito diverse trasformazioni ed è stata utilizzata a vari scopi (è stata anche una prigione, una rimessa per gli animali, una sede di partito ed anche abitazione privata) che l'hanno resa parte viva del paese. La Domus de Janas si sviluppa su più piano, in ognuno dei quali si possono ammirare delle ricostruzioni autentiche risalenti alle varie epoche. Nella parte sinistra dell'edificio, distribuita su due piani, è ricostruita una casa contadina anglonese dell'Ottocento. La casa ha il focolare scavato al centro della stanza nel pavimento roccioso, ed anche le scale sono ricavate nella stessa roccia.
