Caimano yacarè. Questi caimani di medie dimensioni sono incredibilmente numerosi nel Parco Nazionale del Pantanal Mato-Grossense. In passato gli yacarè venivano considerati una sottospecie del caimano dagli occhiali (Caiman crocodilus). Le due specie sono uguali dal punto di vista morfologico, ma vengono considerate specie separate perché hanno diversa distribuzione geografica.
