Eritalis...? (first macro steps) sent on October 06, 2023 (10:22) by Mauro Vianello Lucifer. 5 comments, 187 views. [retina]

, 1/1250 f/2.8, ISO 400, hand held.

First attempts, free hand.... Not bad, not bad!
Greetings
P.s. I do not do post-production, if not increase the sharpness when needed. I use the tripod when I set high playback ratios

Thanks Ema49, very kind.
I'm used to birdlife and more or less used the same workflow.
Sharpness always, here the advantage is that at low iso - 400 - noise there is very little.
The tripod seems obligatory to me, especially closing the aperture: I wanted to test the blur, and anyway I'm Olympus has favorably surprised me.
I took some shots in the garden just yesterday, the first: so much stuff to throw away but some pleasant surprises.
Greetings.

As a first attempt not bad really. The panasonic defends itself well and you move well with the macro lens, the flaw is the background not completely blurred but you could not do anything, the only one is when possible to change the shooting point. Here at f 2.8 you helped the very high crop factor of the g80 and the fact that it mounts a 60mm ..

Thanks Damiana, I especially wanted to try the opening at 2.8 to which I am not accustomed.
Yes, the 60 becomes practically a 120 and allows already large subjects in the frame.
I took many other shots with more closed apertures: obviously the blur suffers. I have also seen that with Topaz Sharpen AI - which in avifauna has never convinced me - I get good results of sharpness and improvements of slightly blurred subjects.
However I recovered the tripod and ordered a micrometric sled, experimentation continues ;-)
Thanks again for your comments.
Have a nice day.
