L'ospite è verosimilmente un insetto appartenente agli Antocoridi ed è maggiormente apprezzabile osservando l'immagine a pieno dettaglio. Quella degli Antocoridi è una famiglia di piccolissime cimici (2-5 mm), che si nutrono dei parassiti delle piante (come, ad esempio, gli afidi) e vengono per questo impiegate nella lotta biologica.
