Eremo di Montesiepi - Chiusdino (SI). L'Eremo di Montesiepi è situato nel territorio del comune di Chiusdino (SI); la costruzione risale al 1181, nel luogo dove si ritirò e visse da eremita fino alla morte San Galgano. All'interno vi è conservata la famosa “spada nella roccia” che, secondo la tradizione, Galgano Guidotti avrebbe infisso nel marmo in segno di rinuncia alla vita mondana. La cupola emicentrica è costituita da anelli concentrici bicolori, in cotto e travertino, ricorda le coperture di alcune tombe etrusche. A poche decine di metri di distanza dall'Eremo si trova la famosa Abbazia di San Galgano.
