Il pontile della cava di pomice dell'isola di Lipari (Eolie) abbandonato dal 2005 dopo la chiusura della cava. La cava dava da lavorare a circa un migliaio di operai (cavatori). Oggi la zona della cava viene utilizzata come spiaggia e le strutture per l'estrazione sono rimaste lì a testimoniare nella loro gigantesca decadenza una economia isolana che era costituita non solo dal turismo. Per lo scatto ho utilizzato un filtro ND 1000.
