Kochkor è un piccolo villaggio del Kirghizistan centrale. Se non fosse il punto di accesso preferenziale per il lago di Song-kul, una delle principali attrazioni della zona, credo che non ci passarebbe nessuno. Le poche persone che si incontrano per strada hanno un aspetto sconsolato, sembra di essere alla frontiera del vecchio west e invece siamo in Asia Centrale. Gli unici che sorridono sono i bambini, tra cui una ragazzina che sembra giocare a campana saltellando da sola. L'unica cosa che può consolare la vista degli abitanti è la cornice di altissime montagne che cinge tutta la cittadina.
