Cuccioli di lupo nel rendez-vous, il luogo dove vengono portati dai genitori una volta completato lo svezzamento. Qui passano le giornate giocando ed esplorando il territorio, mentre i genitori riposano in zone più appartate, in attesa delle impegnative notti in cerca di prede. Hanno circa tre mesi e mezzo e fanno parte del branco che sto attivamente monitorando (più che altro con le fototrappole, in modo da disturbare il meno possibile) da circa due anni, questo infatti è il secondo rendez-vous della stagione. Una cucciolata di cinque lupi nati nella seconda metà di maggio, esattamente come l'anno scorso, in una zona montana vicino casa mia dove il lupo mancava da quasi due secoli, dopo che era stato brutalmente cacciato e portato quasi sull'orlo dell'estinzione. Ora è riuscito a riconquistare il suo ruolo nella natura, quello del predatore al vertice della catena alimentare, e come ogni altro essere vivente ha il diritto alla vita senza essere ingiustamente perseguitato. La coesistenza tra uomini e lupi ai giorni nostri è assolutamente possibile nonchè necessaria per la salute del nostro ecosistema e per ripristinare il nostro ruolo nella natura. Prealpi Comasche.
