La diga fu realizzata tra il 1916 e il 1923, lunga 260 metri. Il 22 ottobre 1923 il bacino per le forti piogge si riempi, si notarono gia delle perdite. Ed infine il 1 Dicembre 1923 alle ore7,15 la Diga cedette, i morti furono 356, dei comuni sottostanti innondati da sei milioni di metri cubi di Acqua , fango e detriti. Una tragedia che qest'anno compie 100 anni.
