, 1/125 f/4.0, ISO 1250,

#BiancoeNero #BlackAndWhite

On the street there is much "worse" if you mean clothes a little discreet many times worn with ostentatious arrogance. I posted a photo taken on the street, at a traffic light, which gave rise to a debate that lasted a whole day.
In this case, in my opinion, elegance prevails and, perhaps, a poignant memory amplified by the digitization of an old shot on film where the more than evident "grain" becomes a dreamlike memory with a pleasant and indistinct border between dream and reality.
Personally I agree with your caption and the image I capture the elegance and beauty of the subject.
My most cordial greeting.
Paul

Quoto Paolo P , for everything.
...".... In this case, in my opinion, elegance prevails and, perhaps, a poignant memory amplified by the digitization of an old shot on film where the more than evident "grain" becomes a dreamlike memory with a pleasant and indistinct border between dream and reality. "
It deserves a round of applause.
Photography, beyond the grain, I like crazy.
A greeting and many compliments
P.S.
Is it a part of the negative?

Yes, it is part of the "positive" (it is a partial reproduction of a frame on slide film). Thanks to you, Maurizio for the applause and to Paolo because he guessed it regarding the "poignant memory" ... Years of youth flew by!

Chapeau!
[ ... ]

a kind greeting

edit:
... not so much for the subject itself, but for the scene,
properly the context ... The atmosphere ...
the cut is also valuable ...
grain probably "exasperated", indelicate ...
but... Here the atmosphere transcends figurativeness ...

Thanks Ben-G. The "exasperated" grain is the result of a treatment that gave me more three-dimensionality but had this yield problem. Everyone is then free to criticize or not ... for me it was acceptable and so I included it in my collection, at least as a historical, pleasant "memory" ...

I like the photography itself, the cut a little less, the shocking presence of the grain instead, far from being evocative of a dream or a poignant memory, in this case it is only a strong, indeed a serious disturbing element. I must say that the grain, the real one of the film, I do not
like at all, although I do not struggle to admit that in many cases it can have its own value, but the digital one, especially when, as in this case, it is distributed with both hands, I find it intolerable especially for its almost ostentatious uniformity that betrays its non-chemical origin.

Hello PaoloMcmix / For the grain you are perfectly right but for the digital path followed I could not reduce or eliminate it and in any case it would not have been a well-defined photo: true that originally it was a 50 ASA but the cut I gave was remarkable to eliminate outline elements that I did not like. What then can communicate or not interests me relatively since I consider my photos on this site as an anthological publication of some of my photos. To everyone they certainly cannot convey emotions or meanings as, from a technical point of view, I do not think I have particular skills. If I like the photo I insert it ... Then each one, if he wants, has his say. I consider your opinion a constructive contribution and I thank you even if, personally, the "recovery" that I was able to obtain with what is available (it is not only camera and lens) satisfies me. Until next time.

One moment Giancarlo, I don't want to be misunderstood. I like
this of your photography, I like first of all the chemical flavor that manages to convey despite digitization, I like the almost American plan even if obtained with the cutting of a significant part of the garment, and I really like the atmosphere of joyful, almost modest eroticism that transmits.
So, even with some small notes, I consider this photograph beautiful also for the air of lightheartedness it gives.
And it is precisely because of this sort of pleasant universal disorder that despite everything gives that I find completely alien, and therefore unbearable, the order so rigorous and geometric of the grain.
In short, the whole image gives a naturalness that that grain cancels ... That's why I would remove it.

Ariciao PaoloMcmix / Thank you for the second time ... but for the grain the problem remains as (although a minimum minimum I would be for leaving it). Come on... With this photo it went like this ... the next time we'll see. A cordial greeting and a good summer to you.
