Tropical view...

Anfibi & Rettili

Tropical view sent on July 07, 2023 (11:50) by Luigi Torino. 8 comments, 291 views. [retina]

, 8 sec f/11.0, ISO 200, tripod. Specie: Chamaeleo chamaeleon

Your considerations are correct, but chameleons are delicate animals and do not like direct light especially at night, much less flashes ... So I tried to use it to the minimum and not point it directly at the eyes

Then you did well, in my part there are not so I have no experience of approaching these animals.
What I said also refers to use with other species, when they are more collaborative.
Sometimes, for example, I have noticed that animals tolerate better the flash of the flash (used at the lowest power) than the continuous light of an LED. In this case, however, I take 1/2 photos at a time and move away.
