La chiesa dei santi Alessandro e Vincenzo di Ponteranica ha origini quattrocentesche, ma è stata pesantemente rimaneggiata nella metà dell'Ottocento, con un intervento di carattere stilistico teso a portare l'immobile ad una caratterizzazione neogotica, che risulta alquanto eclettica soprattutto all'interno. È rimasta conservata nelle pareti esterne e in particolare nella facciata principale, mentre l'alto campanile mostra la presenza di interventi ottocenteschi soprattutto nella parte terminale, così come nelle nell'abside dove troviamo aperture ad ogiva non originarie. L'interno si presenta con una volta con costoloni e vele che coprono le strutture originali del soffitto, fatti realizzare in stile neogotico dall'architetto Angelo Cattò durante il restauro ottocentesco. Il restauro consistette in una serie di pesanti rifacimenti con i quali si coprirono le mura perimetrali e i pilastri, aggiungendo capitelli scolpiti in stile gotico e coprendo la nuova volta della navata, così come quella del presbiterio, con affreschi goticheggianti. In questa chiesa è conservata un'opera d'arte di altissimo valore, perché nel 1522 la confraternita della Scuola del Corpo di Cristo ha commissionato a Lorenzo Lotto il polittico dedicato alla Resurrezione di Cristo, che ancora oggi è ben visibile nell'altare inserito nell'abside sinistra della parete di fondo.
