con Canon EF 1.4x III, 1/1600 f/8.0, ISO 640, hand held. Specie: Athene noctua

Mi trovavo a 1800m di quota e stavo fotografando una famigliola di marmotte che giocherellava fra i massi di una pietraia quando il mio sguardo venne attratto da un movimento... un uccello dalla forma tozza si era appena posato sopra un masso alla mia sinistra; "Una civetta!", la inquadrai e scattai senza farmi troppe domande (questo genere fotografico non lascia spazio a tentennamenti). Soltanto dopo l'involo del soggetto e la visualizzazione di quei pochi scatti impressi sul display della mia macchina fotografica realizzai l'unicità dell'incontro che avevo appena fatto! La Civetta comune è ampiamente diffusa su tutta la nostra penisola ma osservarla ad una quota così elevata in un tipico ambiente alpino è cosa rara (persino la piccola Civetta nana, suo montano parente, non si spinge oltre il limite della vegetazione). Fu solo il primo degli incontri fortunati di quella mattinata - Civetta comune
