Fonte Wikipedia.

Beautiful photo and an explanation to say the least exceptional, so now I know that it is a circle of 22 °!
Knowing is always good!! Thanks

If I'm not mistaken, it's called parelio that phenomenon ..... or something like that
Nice shot, hello Ds

@ Ds, thank you very much for leaving your very welcome appreciation.
I searched and indeed it would seem to be the same phenomenon, from my search Wiki spoke of: halo, ice bow, nimbus or halo. Thanks again for your input.

The photo shows a physical phenomenon and a more than interesting scientific explanation. But I do not return an incontestable geometric principle, you explain that a circular halo forms around our star of 22 degrees, but the circle is not 360 degrees? But maybe I'm earthenware :-( :-D . Congratulations Rod your photos are always original and never discounted.
Bye gios ;-)

I'm glad to see and read this curiosity, although I'm lucky to have seen it in advance from my dear friend Rod ;-)
A phenomenon that I have never observed and now I will be more careful in the observation of our dear Sun 8-)
Congratulations Rod, now we wait for an explanation from FabioF77 our great physique :-)
Best regards, Loris

Interesting caption and photo .......
The circle around the sun is perfect, it seems almost drawn with the compass. The part near the sun is darker, then it becomes light.
If you look closely, under the sun, you see a kind of flash, horizontal, which cuts the circle: at first very clear, then, fading becomes purple.
I like these photographs.... :-)
I took a picture that surprised me, here it is:

See, in photography, unexpected things ..... the curiosity that stimulates me.
Greetings !
