È uno dei monumenti nuragici meglio conservati, una tomba di Giganti che domina la Giara di Siddi, in Marmilla, nel sud Sardegna, a 60 chilometri da Cagliari “Non una testa di toro ma una donna partoriente, emblema femminile non maschile”. È una recente teoria riguardo alla natura delle tombe di Giganti che mette in dubbio la classica e indiscussa definizione 'a protome taurina' usata per indicare la forma delle circa 800 sepolture collettive di epoca nuragica scoperte nell'Isola. L'affascinante ipotesi coinvolge anche una delle più significative e meglio conservate: sa Dom'e s'Orku, straordinario esempio di architettura funeraria dell'età del Bronzo. Il nome, 'la casa dell'orco', ritorna spesso in questa tipologia di costruzioni a simboleggiare e alimentare mistero e timore. Imponente e quasi intatta, la tomba spicca in un leggero rialzo (260 metri), sul versante nord-occidentale dell'altopiano su Pranu o Giara di Siddi, incantevole scenario del piccolo centro della Marmilla, distante poco più di sei chilometri dal monumento .
