Congratulations Joseph, beautiful
image in a beautiful b / w and interesting caption.
The tribute to a great interpreter of Italian music is due (even if she brought the "voice" of Sardinia to the knowledge of the world, it would be very reductive to define her only as an "ethnic" singer). As a musician I greatly appreciated and loved Maria Carta.
Hello and good weekend,
Paul

Let those who know Maria Garta deeply lay the first stone. Most may have heard of her just in passing, but few know the merit of this immense artist who has been able to enhance the traditional musical heritage of the island. The photo is of an overwhelming beauty supported by an impeccable bn. Super shot Zoseppe.
bye gios ;-)

Hello Joseph, I think I
already told you some time ago but I like to tell you again my experience ...
Years ago I spent my holidays on the island of La Maddalena and in that period I also visited some places in northern Sardinia.
That day I had been to Santa Teresa in Castelsardo in Alghero...
On the way back, rather than retracing the coast, I decided to take the inner road.
The sun was setting and a beautiful golden and Mediterranean light enveloped the landscape around me...
Then suddenly, after a bend, the Basilica of Saccargia appeared to my eyes... The light reflected on the façade flooded it with a warm, almost mystical hue.
I still remember with emotion that moment and this memory makes me feel good ...
Best regards Gianka

I spent an afternoon going to visit this incredible monument, a very original example of two-tone Romanesque on the island, so far from Tuscany where it is common.
Beautiful visual interpretation ;-)
