Ecco la terza foto che documenta l'ultima muta del macaone. Con le forti contrazioni la crisalide ha fatto passare la cuticola sotto la cintura di seta e la sta facendo scivolare lungo il corpo. Manca poco alla fine, solo qualche altra contrazione e la cuticola si staccherà e cadrà a terra. In questa foto potete osservare tutte le particolarità della crisalide, c'è già la forma dell'occhio e delle antenne, che sono abbassate in avanti dai lati fino a sotto la pancia. Quel pomeriggio ho portato con me in esplorazione un fauna box con questo bruco, che due giorni prima si era preparato per la metamorfosi su un rametto. Dopo aver controllato come al solito tutte le piante nutrici in cerca di uova e bruchi, sono andato alla ricerca di un buon posto per fotografare la muta. Mi sono posizionato sotto la pergola d'uva, è un posto che utilizzo spesso per fotografare perché gli alberi in lontananza creano sfondi molto delicati. Sono stato 4 ore ad osservare la crisalide e finalmente alle 19,30 ha iniziato la muta. C'era un costante vento che muoveva la crisalide e ha reso più difficile fotografare, sono però molto soddisfatto di aver assistito a questa bellissima scena, che secondo me in pochi hanno visto e fotografato. Avrei voluto fotografare con la luce del tramonto, per questo avevo scelto quel posto, ma era troppo tardi e stava arrivando il buio. La natura ha i suoi tempi e vanno rispettati, questo mi piace moltissimo perché mi fa sentire un osservatore; io fotografo quello che la natura mi mostra ed è per questo che la esploro giorno e notte. Mi interessa solo trasmettere le bellezze della natura, anche se poi la foto non è come l'avevo pensata. Ho deciso di creare una galleria con tutte le foto che documentano questa fase, col tempo ne aggiungerò altre e quest'anno cercherò di fotografarla di nuovo.
