Camouflage your gecko! :-D
I share with you, Marco! Field photography allows us direct contact, allows us to learn their habits and to feel empathized with these little beings. VERY GOOD as always!

That's the important thing for me.
Of course, camera traps allow you to observe the behavior of very wary animals, but this is not my purpose.
The quality then for my needs is too low, after all the time spent observing them I want quality photos.
They camouflage themselves very well, that place is made for them. I
have to look closely at the walls because from a distance I almost do not see them, especially the small specimens.
The one in the picture was nice big.
In addition, warty geckos change the shades of colors to blend better with the environment.
I have seen some with pink hues, others more yellow or orange and still others with brown spots.
These things are only seen in the field after so many experiences, and it is a huge satisfaction.
Thanks Nadia hello

Engaging the caption you wrote, for the image I would say that you have taken a beautiful quality of camouflage. Great.

I see that you have resumed your night excursions Marco with your excellent catches.
With your captions you provide us with details that we did not know and this makes your shots very informative .
Congratulations for the photo and for your great passion
Walter

Hello Walter, thank you very much for appreciating.
Last summer I was almost every night observing the animals. Even geckos allowed me many photos.
This year I still have to recover, now during the day you start to see the first animals but at night it is still cold and they stay sheltered.
In May I will resume and I can't wait.

A real lesson in herpetology. Example of perfect camouflage of a subject that does not exist in my region. Great nice shot Mark.
bye gios ;-)

Hi Gios I'm very glad you liked it.
This time, rather than describing the species, I wanted to tell the environment in which they live and the difficulties to photograph them without scaring them.
Also from me they are quite rare, it is much easier to meet common geckos.
This abandoned hut on my land is their only home, and as always I am careful not to leave signs of my passage.
