In the period of the great boom of the sheep and beef industry, this pier was intended for the transport of the different products obtained from work on the ranches.
In the twenties, a revolt of workers protesting better working conditions ended up burning Braun & Blanchard's facilities, including warehouses and the famous pier. Both the warehouses and the pier were rebuilt and remained in operation for a few more years, until the decline of large-scale activity. Today only the pillars of the old pier, symbol of the golden age of cattle trafficking, remain standing. „
