Pieris brassicae at first light sent on January 07, 2023 (19:06) by MarcoCoppola. 40 comments, 729 views. [retina]

, 1/40 f/5.6, ISO 160, tripod. Specie: Pieris brassicae

Hello Marco, I know this type of butterfly that you are an artist to breed it and also to photograph it. Beautiful and particular this image of yours, I like the idea of composition you had. Great. ( Eeeh yes unfortunately you are right for what you wrote about the climate that is changing, to say these days I worked my soil to prepare it for spring sowing, the strangeness lies in the fact that I was in short sleeves when I should have been with a winter jacket and wool cap and unable to work the ground because on the ground there should have been snow or how little the ground so frozen by learning ploughing.... . I think it will be hard years for us humans, I hope I'm wrong). HELLO.

Thank you very much John and David are very glad you liked it!
The climatic situation you described is the same for me, I remember that not many years ago when it snowed you could not leave the house, now if it already snows it is a rarity.
In summer then everything dries up and it would take an infinity of water. :-(

Unfortunately yesterday and today it rained a bit and tomorrow it will be cloudy, then the sun will return.
In these two days more than 10 butterflies were born, I am breeding them with nectar in the largest fauna boxes waiting for the sun to make them fly. Even if it's cloudy they stay still on my hand and don't fly :-)
Thank you so much Nadia and Max for the kind comments!

But are there flowers where they can feed?
