, 1/15 f/8.0, ISO 100, tripod. Specie: Hyles euphorbiae

Beautiful photo and excellent description as always, you made me want to post the caterpillar beast that I found at the beginning of November (almost 10 cm) :-D in high-contrast areas where you see the chromatic aberration (eg upper part of the branch) I advise you to intervene with the tool eliminate margin of Camera Raw or similar

Thank you so much Max, Gandy and Gigi I'm glad you liked it :-)
Gigi unfortunately that aberration did not want to go away, if I removed it he created artifacts elsewhere, even a little on the antennas of the butterfly. This is the only limit of the 200mm micro that I found, sometimes I remove it very easily, I noticed that even the automatic denoise has this function. This time, however, there was no way I took it off there and it appeared somewhere else :-D
But I must say that it does not bother much.
P.S. Now I'm curious to see that beast :-)

I put it here because it's not a photo that I particularly like and I don't think I'll ever post it :-) anyway if you create another layer on PS and remove the aberration from the branch edges on that layer there, then you can mask only the parts that interest you
