Also interesting is the challenge of working with this more than "outdated" camera body. It's been out of production for 17 years! And I remember the times when there was the "duel" between this and the Nikon D50/D70, at the time when I got the first DSLR (for the record a Nikon D70s). I see with good results by the way.

Thank you Claudio. Yes, I have to say that for my poor skills and my sporadic use this "old lady" is more than enough. During the day it doesn't have any kind of problem, and even at sunset with some precautions and a bit of post you can take home the photo. At night he suffers a little more and they are certainly not his daily bread, but even there you can take something home if you don't have too many pretensions.
The only real big limitation is the lack of a screen and live view, it forces you to take every single photo spying on its tiny viewfinder, with everything that follows, for the rest nothing to complain about.
Obviously it can't compete in anything with current cameras, but if you're looking for a contraption to take 2 pictures every now and then at no cost, it's perfect.

Thanks for the explanation. The colors and lights of the photo are excellent, as for the softness, you can't see it here in photos at web size nor would you even see it printing it up to several cm. The Super Resolution seems to me to work well at most by doubling the mpx, but beyond that it can't do it, and you need software like Topaz (I often use it in photos under 24 mpx, like those from smartphones or the old stuff I have from the days before the Nikon D300, and only if I want to make large prints). Greetings.
C.
