La Cascata di San Valentino, a Sadali, è un gioiello naturale unico nel suo genere. Sadali è l'unico paese dell'entroterra Sardo che presenta una cascata all'interno del centro abitato. Secondo fonti storiche, nella prima metà del XX secolo, all'epoca era il solo caso in Europa. Alta circa 7 metri, la forza dell'acqua che vi scorre in passato era utilizzata per movimentare i mulini infatti, come potete vedere, accanto ad essa è stato costruito un mulino, che manco a farlo apposta la rende ancora più pittoresca e fiabesca. Il mulino è tutt'oggi visitabile, e vi sono conservati gli antichi attrezzi dei mestieri di un tempo. San Valentino, "su santu coiadori" (il santo che sposa), è il patrono di Sadali, che lo festeggia tre volte all'anno: oltre al 14 febbraio, anche l'8 maggio e il 6 ottobre. Davanti alla cascata è stata eretta la chiesa in suo onore. Dove viene devotamente custodito il simulacro di San Valentino. La leggenda vuole che un uomo anziano, che vagava portando con sé una statuina del santo, meravigliato dalla visione della cascata si fermò ad osservarla. E quando decise di riprendere il cammino, nonostante gli sforzi, non riuscì a smuovere la statua. Da quel momento gli abitanti del borgo custodirono devotamente il simulacro del Santo ed eressero la chiesa a lui dedicata. La suggestiva cascata, da tempi immemori, è meta di pellegrini, che oggi come in passato, vi si recano per chiedere la grazia di trovare l'anima gemella. Numerose coppie scelgono ancora oggi di trascorrere il giorno di San Valentino a Sadali per ammirarla, e per suggellare la loro unione, chiedendo la benedizione di San Valentino.
