Going to Grifoni and... sent on October 27, 2022 (0:17) by Mauro Vianello Lucifer. 15 comments, 272 views. [retina]

con Canon EF 1.4x III, 1/2000 f/9.0, ISO 2500, hand held. Specie: Aegypius monachus

... trovar sorprese! Qualche idea?

Thanks Ravenick, I had thought so too but it seemed small and with a less pronounced beak.
But all theory, it's the first I see.

Hello Mauro, for the moment you have made this shot, with time if you can do it set among the peaks is even better. Anyway hats off to the photo and for the beautiful experience you lived. (This vulture also has a ring on its paw). HELLO, good night

Hello John, I saw the ring but it is only partially readable unfortunately in the dozen shots I made.
The Grand Causses are mostly reddish cliffs not very high: in that place they flew quite high.
I photographed Griffins at the Baronnies Provençales, on the road between Avignon and Montgenevre, closer to the walls but always in the sky.
Easier the Bearded Vulture at the Stelvio with good background, but I did not get good results.
I'll try again when I get the chance.
Perhaps the Grifoni al Cornino, climbing the plateau.
Greetings and thanks for your constant presence.

Thanks Claudio, the quality is not as I would have liked, maybe a bit 'far.
But in France there are not many, they talk about 10-20 couples. So a nice meeting however fast.
In Italy even less I know ...
