Una passeggiata tra vicoli e vicoletti della mia Monopoli con a tracolla la mia inseparabile macchina fotografica, mi ha fatto ritrovare un po' della mia infanzia che ormai da troppo tempo si coniuga al “passato remoto”. Allora non c'erano i locali sfiziosi di oggi, i profumi di ghiottonerie che puoi gustare a tutte le ore e nemmeno i negozietti di souvenir: era semplicemente la parte vecchia della cittadina che si adagia tutta sull'Adriatico, con case e casette semplici e spesso scomode abitate per lo più da pescatori che avevano famiglie numerose e magri bilanci da far quadrare soprattutto d'inverno. Oggi quelle casette non ci sono più, sono state ristrutturate e la maggior parte sono diventate Bed & Breakfast. I magazzini a pian terreno: negozi e ristorantini tipici dove puoi gustare la miglior cucina pugliese. E quelle poche case rimaste, vengono contese a peso d'oro da turisti, stranieri e spesso attori che dopo averci lavorato, in una delle tante fiction di cui, è ormai teatro, Monopoli e la Puglia, decidono di farsi la casetta al mare nell'azzurro e limpido mare del sud. Grazie agli amici e alle amiche che lasceranno un segno del loro gradito passaggio.
