Really, we were lucky to find good conditions to photograph the lighthouse !
In fact it is a fairly particular subject, the origin of the name of the island is not entirely certain, there is a version, more accredited, which wants it to derive from the transliteration of "Cavurusu" which would mean crabs or shrimps in Sardinian. The other version wants it to be due to the presence of many wild cabbage plants on the island. Today it is a research center of the University, but still it is active.

Davvero, siamo stati fortunati a trovare buone condizioni per fotografare il faro !
In effetti è un soggetto abbastanza particolare, l'origine del nome dell'isola non è del tutto certa, c'è una versione, più accreditata, che vuole che derivi dalla traslitterazione di "Cavurusu" che vorrebbe dire granchi o gamberi in Sardo. L'altra versione vuole che sia dovuto alla presenza di molte piante di Cavolo selvatico nell'isola. Oggi è un centro di ricerca dell'Università, ma comunque è ancora attivo.
