Nella costellazione del Cigno, in una remota e ricca zona della nostra Via Lattea, a circa 4'700 anni luce dal nostro Pianeta, si trova una "bolla di vento stellare", generata da una massiccia stella che si trova al suo interno (la più luminosa al centro). Essa è una stella 500'000 volte più luminosa del sole ed ha circa 4,5 milioni di anni (un millesimo dell'età del nostro Sole). La nebulosa è molto piccola, solo 25 anni luce da parte a parte, per questo ci sono volute circa 36 ore di pose suddivise in due anni (causa maltempo) per catturare tutti i fotoni necessari ad avere un'immagine completa. La bolla si muove a circa 2'000 - 3'000 km/s con le sue stelle ed è un'oggetto molto difficile da fotografare data la sua complessità, dimensione, e velocità, le complesse strutture della nebulosa sono il risultato del poderoso vento che interagisce con materiale espulso dell'esplosione delle stelle all'interno.
