, 1/640 f/5.6, ISO 3200, hand held.

beautiful and interesting your comparison. The well-used m43 doesn't have much to envy to larger sensors.

3200 and does not prove them 8-)
I agree with your reasoning even if, personally, I would have ventured 1/320 to 1600 ISO.
:-)

Thanks Fabio! I can only share your considerations!
Carlo, if you look in the album, at iso 1600 is the previous photo (made specifically to compare the iso yield), although in fact it has a different aperture. In fact I must say that I notice very few differences, indeed, perhaps the image at f/5.6, 1/640 ISO 3200 is almost better than the one at f/4, 1/640 ISO 1600 (in any case, certainly not worse!). I'll tell you, in hindsight I could also try f/5.6, 1/320 ISO 1600, but after this shot the "dragon" is gone!

Yes, I had, seen... I meant to say f. 5.6 for a greater pdc to compensate for any blur at these magnification ratios 8-) but it's fur stuff in the egg and the photo is already beautiful and sharp as it is. 8-)

Yes yes, I got it! :-) At the next opportunity, I'll try! However, the "pseudo macro" capabilities of this lens are exceptional (as well as those of the 40-150mm f/2.8 pro, but these are perhaps even better)!

Well, then, Carlo, I agree with keeping the ISO as low as possible, but given the tightness of modern machines (look here at the m4/3, imagine the FF!) I would not even go crazy! Also because in PP removing a bit of noise is much easier than eliminating the microwavy (the only sw that I know to do is Topaz, but I do not know how much it works).
Beautiful ;-)

Thank you very much Massimo!

(the only sw I know to do is Topaz, but I don't know how much it works)

For the record: I also downloaded and tried Topaz (Trial), but, in spite of the magnificent "intelligent" performances of the sw, I was not very excited, except that the functions are almost totally automatic.... but nothing that can not be done with other sw (Gimp, Photoshop, Luminar etc ...) even if in a less automatic and "intelligent" way ;-)
