Il mondo dei gechi

Warty gecko sent on June 03, 2022 (16:43) by MarcoCoppola. 21 comments, 547 views. [retina]

, 1/250 f/16.0, ISO 100, hand held. Specie: Hemidactylus turcicus

Hello Mark, I did not know there were two species of geckos, I was thinking only of a quality that is the common one. Blessed are you who have the opportunity to observe so much beauty, in my part do not exist. Bravissimo, CIAO, good weekend

Thank you very much Giovanni and Davide and Bepi, warty geckos are rarer and more difficult to spot.
In my land there is a building used years ago to raise animals of various kinds. Now it is abandoned and has become the home of geckos.

Thank you very much Roberto, think that many times when I shoot I put myself right under him that if he falls I end up straight in the face :-D
But animals do not scare me and I do not worry about these things, I must also be careful not to move too much otherwise they run away immediately.
In this case I was with 35mm so very close to him.
Many times I wonder what they think when I approach with camera and flash mounted in front of the optics with a lot of access judas light that looks like a spaceship :-D

Really interesting your story, so beautiful and particular the photo.
I was able to observe a large gecko in Sardinia, and I was fascinated by it. I think he was just a warty man. :-P

Very interesting shot, for the subject taken, (never seen one), the beauty of the subject and the perception of his ability to camouflage.
congratulations.
Mauri
