Sometimes you stop doing it sent on May 16, 2022 (18:38) by Federico Tamanini. 13 comments, 238 views. [retina]

Beautiful! A genre that I appreciate more and more; exemplary caption , dry , essential , relevant , no less beautiful than the image : chapeau !

Too kind, Leonardo. Personally, I enjoy writing captions almost as much as I enjoy shooting :-D

Perhaps a complex question but: are you a believer?

Dunno. Complex question, complex answer. I'm not a practitioner and, if I had to bet on one thing or the other, say that no... I am not a believer.
On the other hand, I believe that not believing in something more complete than our human reality is a source of sadness and I look for a form of spirituality suitable for my pragmatic and scientific brain. If we want to call it "consolation" I am not offended.
Of one thing I am certain: I know I do not know.
I would not have the courage to say that there is certainly nothing, and I would not have the courage to say that there is certainly something. Because I think I observe the cosmos as you observe a small stone on the path to the summit. One piece, of course. Also nice. But so small as to leave me blind about everything.

Allow me to think that you are
agnostic It is a right attitude for a modern man, rational and who respectfully loves what nature has given us.
Anyway nice photo and caption
Greetings

Apart from that when we talk about God we have to understand how we understand him. It does not have to be something related to hope, nor is it implicit that a so-called higher entity must be the answer to solve the mystery of existence.

Correct. The meanings associated with divinity are manifold. I have sinned of simplification, considering the Christian god having proposed a photo of a building that can be connected to this cult.

Net of your spiritual or non-spiritual speeches, depending on how one thinks or feels (which I find very interesting), I would like in my small way to talk about this photo, which I find very heartfelt, looking for something magical and different from the usual and for me it is magical because in this black and white of a former abandoned place of worship, you have looked for an unusual way of doing photography, so quoto everything positively, both your photographic proposal and what you have written.

Thank you very much, Anelanna1970. Perhaps photography is also a way to understand how our inner person is made, who sometimes would like to shout and show himself, but not infrequently screams in the emptiness of space. Some places seem to talk about us and the way of presenting them can bring the image closer to the inner mirror and remove a bit of fog from it.
