ISO 100, tripod.

39 stacked natural light exposures at ISO 100 of a crab spider with the egg sac. It's looking very scared... but it didn't move at all to protect the eggs! Photographed on 04.06.2012. Equipment: Canon EOS 5D Mark II, reversed Rodenstock APO-Rodagon-D 75/4.5 lens on Nikon PB-6 bellows.

"39 natural light exposures stacked" this phrase speaks for itself.

Thank you all, really appreciated!

The composition is not perfect, I definitely agree. It was a windy morning and I put the plamp very close to the the spider in order to get rid of vibrations caused by the wind.

The second problem with this stack is the so called telecentricity - a simple definition would be "objects become larger as you approach the camera to them". As I work with a focus rail, the last exposure has a higher magnification then the first one. The stacking software I use (Zerene Stacker) automatically picks up the last exposure as the reference one.

The conclusion is that composition is sometimes challenging with stacking.
