Dalla descrizione che ho scritto per un articolo su passione astronomia: Lo scopo di questa foto è duplice. Da una parte, si vuole mostrare quanto varia la dimensione apparente del Sole dal Perielio (quando la Terra è nel punto della sua orbita più vicino al Sole, ovvero a circa 147 milioni di chilometri) all'Afelio (quando la Terra è nel punto più lontano, ovvero a circa 152 milioni di chilometri). In effetti il diametro apparente del Sole non varia di molto, se non da circa 32 minuti d'arco al Perielio a 31 minuti d'arco all'Afelio. Ovviamente non è questo il motivo del ciclo stagionale dovuto invece all'inclinazione dell'asse terrestre, anche perché se così fosse dovremmo avere le stesse stagioni sia nell'emisfero Boreale che in quello Australe. Ricordiamo che l'ultimo Perielio è avvenuto non molti giorni fa, il 4 gennaio 2022, mentre l'ultimo Afelio è del 5 luglio 2021 ed il prossimo sarà il 4 luglio 2022. Il secondo scopo di questa foto è più di carattere personale, ovvero quello di mostrare il progresso dell'autore nell'astrofotografia solare nella lunghezza d'onda dell'idrogeno (H-alpha imaging) che permette di mostrare le caratteristiche della cromosfera (il sottile strato di plasma relativamente poco denso ma molto caldo superiore alla fotosfera). Infatti, la metà superiore dell'immagine viene dalla primissima foto ottenuta dall'autore con il suo telescopio H-alpha, mentre la metà inferiore è da una foto di qualche giorno fa (esattamente 6 mesi dopo la prima) ottenuta sempre con lo stesso telescopio. Strumentazione: telescopio solare Daystar Solar Scout DS su montatura motorizzata Skywatcher AZ-GTi. Come camera di ripresa è stata usata una mirrorless Fujifilm X-T30. Le immagini sono ottenute con il metodo del lucky imaging (ovvero sommando con appositi software un gran numero di foto ottenute negli istanti di minore turbolenza atmosferica durante una sessione di ripresa della durata di alcuni minuti). https://www.facebook.com/PassioneAstronomia/posts/4651738224861663/
