Hello Annamaria, my visit to Egypt dates back to August 2011 six months after the beginning of the revolution in Egypt, the Arab Spring.
Also if the decline had already been on the way for decades, that year marked their decadence forever, tourism is the source of livelihood of Egypt, at that time in the sites that until six months before were super crowded with thousands of visitors, there were a few dozen buses, tourist presences were zeroed. The sphinx is witnessing the end of Egypt and its future.
Beautiful composition in excellent b.n.
