To give you an idea of the complexity of the subject, these are the 7 hours of RGB signal... practically nothing!

Inexperience and poor equipment? I dare not imagine the results when you are an expert. Wonderful!!! Congratulations on the result, but also on all the work behind it.
Hello and good bright 2022

Nice job packed ! The simeis 147 is a really difficult object it takes a good sky and a lot of integration.
Even the witch's head ( Ic 2118 ) in Eridano is an object not easy to do
However congratulations :-)

Incredible!
What equipment has allowed you to achieve these results?
And what equipment prevented you from doing so?

Riccardo, first of all the camera... with a modified reflex not cooled you forget shots so clean! As long as you shoot "simple" subjects like M42 or the Andromeda galaxy is fine (almost) everything, but for these projects you need serious machines! 8-)
I used the ASI 2600 MC color camera and its monochrome twin to shoot with narrowband filters, 10 hours of acquisition with a Mono is a lot of signal!
To have the top I would also have needed a great sky, but on that I can do little and a much brighter optics, but as for traditional photography those cost a lot of €€€€!

Thanks also to the others for the passage and... happy 2022 to all! I couldn't have chosen a better day to finally be able to shoot this beautiful nebula! ;-)

Zeppo you don't take it but the fusion came badly
is find I'm sure you can get a more harmonious result.
The recovery is all there, it is deep, you can see it well, but the result is not ok

Auguri, happy 2022!

Hi Stefano, what do you use to merge Ha and Oiii with RGB? I the NBRGB script of PixInsight... do you know any other method?
Good 2022 to you too!

I use that too, but it does not always give good results
in your case for me it has completely flattened the luminance of the Ha making it more a "patch" of color than the nebula
If you notice it lacks three-dimensionality
(however it is undoubtedly the most difficult shot with which you have ventured)
