I ghiacciai che arrivavano dalla val di Susa, Sangone terminavano alle porte di Torino; hanno costruito un allineamento di colline moreniche e scolpito alcuni blocchi rocciosi, come il monte Capretto in prima quinta, il monte Cuneo, subito dietro, e il più rilevato sullo sfondo; ritirandosi hanno lasciato delle depressioni riempite dai laghi morenici di Avigliana, che in realtà non sono che le vestigia di un lago molto più grande che occupava gran parte della zona che stiamo guardando. Nel pomeriggio del giorno di natale fa molta impressione vedere come la nebbia gialla di smog sovrasti la città di Torino, schiacciata in pianura dall'inversione termica. JPG prodotti dalla macchian uniti con Hugin.
