I pettirossi erano in piena migrazione ed alla colonia di falchi dell'isola (circa 150 coppie) non è sembrato vero. In alcuni giorni le catture erano talmente numerose che le femmine infilavano i passeracei all'interno di cespugli (dispense) in previsione di giornate in cui i maschi non sarebbero riusciti a rifornire il nido. Anche a me si stringeva il cuore, ma i pulli dovevano crescere in fretta per essere capaci in pochissimo tempo di migrare nel sud est dell'Africa (in primis Madagascar e Mauritius). |
