È presente in Italia, l'avete mai visto?

I think it's the marangone, but I leave the word to the experts, nice HD file where maybe the lights are a bit high, good day.

Beautiful catch, I think it is the Marangone with the young tuft,
the young ones have the opaque yellowish beak and do not have the tuft,
I'm not sure ... anyway excellent recovery, many compliments!

What a beautiful close-up, sharp and well composed. The caption is also very interesting.

Great, I'm learning the Italian name of this cormorant :)
Yes, you are absolutely right Errevi, I should have underexposed the shot, because in post-processing, I lowered the highlights to -100 and that was not enough.
Many thanks to all, Renato

Certainly yes, it is present in Italy, especially in the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is a young man of Marangone with a tuft (Phalacrocorax aristotelis), as it is called by us and, unlike the Cormorant, it is found only along the sea coasts.

Yes dear Fabio, I was so happy to be able to approach it with only 450mm that day, that I messed up the light setting a bit ... For the anecdote, I went down a sheer cliff to approach him and he rewarded my efforts by not running away;)
Thank you, Renato
