Anche quest'anno ci si avvia a onorare la ricorrenza del 4 novembre , giornata dell'unità nazionale e delle forze armate , quasi inevitabile quindi che passando per Aquileia abbia avuto l'occasione di fare qualche scatto a dei gruppi di figuranti e appassionati che ricostruivano alcune situazioni che durante il periodo della grande guerra costituirono la normalità , se oggi però possiamo ricordare quegli eventi in maniera cosi soft , non dobbiamo dimenticare cosa ci si ritrovo alla fine di quel conflitto , era ben vero che Trento e Trieste erano state ricongiunte all'Italia, che i sogni ideali di Cesare Battisti, Fabio Filzi, Nazario Sauro a proposito delle popolazioni italiane delle cosidette terre “irredente” si erano trasformati in realtà , ma il prezzo pagato fu altissimo , oltre 4 milioni di soldati mobilitati di cui 250.000 giovani appena diciottenni, 600.000 morti e 1.500.000 feriti, 400.000 civili che avevano perso o dovuto abbandonare le proprie case lungo la linea del fronte , furono sacrifici enormi ma l'unificazione territoriale, politica e istituzionale dell'Italia venne comunque interamente realizzata , fu la fine di un dramma , altri purtroppo ne sarebbero seguiti nel giro di pochi anni .... ma quelle sono altre storie .
