, 1/30 f/4.0, ISO 100, tripod.

Una specie di ascalafo ancora non molto conosciuta, risulta più rara e localizzata di Libelloides coccajus e L. italicus. Scattata al tramonto su monte Stella (Stilo, RC), luce posatoio e sfondo naturali. Spero che vi piaccia, commenti e critiche ben accetti

The shot made to this subject is undoubtedly very valid given the detail obtained. Personally always if possible I would have tried to immerse the libelloides more in the orange band so that it would stand out more by moving if used the plamp, also in my opinion the composition would require it since the subject has the look to the right, consequently it would be appropriate to leave more space towards that part. Of course what is written is only my simple opinion that nothing wants to detracting from the beauty you have obtained.

I do not use plamp or flash for now, only panel / led to lighten the subject. Unfortunately I was quite far from home and it was getting dark (it was the curfew period at 11 pm), I did not experience much with the various angles for the rush. Your comment will undoubtedly be a starting point for future photos that I will happen to do, hoping to meet again this beautiful subject

These subjects are always beautiful to shoot but I have never been so lucky.. I would have to change area to be able to find them..
However, considering the rush I would say that you have made a good result ..
A greeting
Pier

I checked, the shot is from May 29 at 19:56 and I was in a place two and a half hours from home. I would say that I was quite hairy for the return, but I still took my time to take home the shot :-D thanks for the comment and the visit :-)

I particularly like libelloides: I had never seen this and you took it back great. Congratulations

Great shot for this subject that I did not know; the soft and delicate background is also valid. In my opinion it would have been better, at the compositional level, to avoid keeping the stem that acts as a perlayer exactly parallel to the edges of the frame.

Thanks Nicola and Gandy :-D

How come?

How come?

Exetically, in my opinion, when there is a straight element like this percest it is more pleasant to tilt it a little with respect to the sides of the frame. Personal opinion, of course.

No of course, I understand your point of view. In other photos I did it, in this one I liked everything as it was in reality; in any case in the next place there will be perches much more inclined :-) among other things I am curious to see how the composition will be evaluated, I like the photo but it has something that does not convince me completely
